Heart Health Pour Over Helped Improve My Dog’s Heart Murmur

"Since my dog’s heart murmur had increased from Grade II to Grade III (almost Grade IV) by last June, his vet doubled the milligrams for his daily pill and I started him on the Heart Health Pour Over. At his last check up visit with an EKG in December, his vet told me that his heart murmur has now improved back to Grade II, and he no longer needs to have an expensive EKG every six months but instead only needs to return once a year. She said this kind of improvement is quite rare, especially at his advanced age, so I think Heart Health Pour Over gets part of the credit for this improvement!"

Can this be given to cats as well?: Hi JP, Since the Pour Overs are meant to be a small portion of the diet and not responsible for the overall nutrition that a pet receives, it should be okay if cats have some. There's nothing in there that's harmful to cats, but since it's a product designed for dogs, we currently don't have any feeding recommendations for cats. With our complete diets, we can only recommend our cat recipes for cats and our dog recipes for dogs, since their nutritional needs are so different. But the Pour Overs are more like a snack than a complete meal. So as long as the cat is getting the proper nutrition elsewhere for their meals, then the Pour Overs are safe to use in addition.
what is sodium content? I don’t see the full nutritional analysis?: Hi Kimberly, Unfortunately, since our Pour Overs are meant for supplemental feeding as a topper to an already complete & balanced meal, we do not run a full analysis on them like we do with our balanced recipes. Sorry about that! However, most of the Pour Overs (aside from our Functional line) don't have any additional nutrients added, so whatever nutrients are present are naturally occurring from the ingredients we use to make the Pour Over recipes. Hope that helps!
Can I give it by syringe? She's 10lbs and will not eat it on her food. Does have heart issues: Hi there Renee, Thanks for reaching out to us! Yes, you can feed this topper through a syringe. The texture shouldn't be too thick.
