Perfect addition for my Bebe!

"My Bebe is a female, senior, Toy Poodle. She was rescued from a disguised puppy mill that was actually a fentanyl lab. She was almost totally feral when I adopted her due to living inside a cage with no human contact. All of her teeth were either missing or decayed into her upper and lower gums. I had all extracted. I began mixing a prepared portion of The Honest Kitchen Bone Broth into about a cup of this Whole Food Clusters for Puppies and waiting until the next morning. The clusters absorb the broth and make it easy for my Bebe to easily lick her breakfast plate clean!!"

Great!

"Works great for my puppy, her coat is shiny and her breath is great. Easy to use as treats, too. The grain free is a bit less crumbly than the grain version."

Megan T. (5/5)

"Food seems great. Only my second day of feeding so its still early but my pups seem to love the taste. My oldest is a picky eater. Ive tried so many different kibbles even the premium kibble with raw like instinct. He would pick out the raw and leave the kibble. It seems like he really liked these clusters, he ate his entire bowl kibble and all. Its still very early in the transition so hopefully he continues to like the clusters and that it’s not just the taste of something new."

Josh (5/5)

Great dry clusters

"There are a great addition to my pets whole food diet and they make great nuggets for training when I need more volume without as many calories. My puppy loves these. Great quality dry food."

Eric D. (5/5)

Grain free whole chicken clusters

"I was not sure about this as this is a switch for my pup, but when I opened the package and smelled the dry clusters I knew I made the right choice. These clusters have hardly any smell at all and my puppy for the first time, cleans her bowl up. I use the pour overs on top. Just a little."

Kathleen C. (5/5)

Great Puppy Food!

"My Belgian Malinois loves THK Chicken food! I mix it with THK broth mixed with warm water for added moisture. He has enjoyed every bowl since I opened the package! It's a convenient way to add great nutritious food to his diet."

Roslyn J. (5/5)

Keep those puppies healthy!

"A great way to start pups off to a healthy start after they are done with their mother's milk. Quality, healthy ingredients unlike 90% of the other brands out there. Highly recommend."

Suzanne B. (5/5)

Healthy

"Healthy and my dogs love this food. We’ve been feeding it for many years."

Patricia P. (5/5)

DDave

"My dog loves it and I like that it's not baked at high temps that cook out all the good nutrients."

Jarrod R. (5/5)

it’s a huge hit

"we are still in the transition phases of changing to this food, however the grain free chicken clusters are always the first to go!"

Q&A

Do you have other protein choices besides chicken for the puppy food cause all I’m seeing for the specific puppy food is just the chicken with grain and the chicken without grain in my opinion, chicken is not the highest quality protein beef for turkey would be a better option

how many cups of this grain free chicken clusters is there in a pound?
Hi Ariel, Thank you for reaching out to The Honest Kitchen. I hope you are well. There are roughly 80 cups in a 20 pound bag. I've added a full breakdown of our cluster sizes below: **Clusters:** - 1lb: about 4 cups per bag - 4lb: about 16 cups per bag - 5lb: about 20 cups per bag - 10lb: about 40 cups per bag - 20lb: about 80 cups per bag I hope this helps! Please let us know if we can do anything else for you. Thanks,
With these clusters being roasted and dehydrated, do you add water? Also is your regular dehydrated food “all stages” and appropriate for puppies?
Hi there! Thanks for reaching out to us! The Clusters are our version of a dry dog food, so they are designed to be fed as is. No need to add water to those recipes! As for our dehydrated recipes, we have several diets that are designed to support puppies during their rapid growing months. You can find information on each of these recipes at the links below: Dehydrated recipes: - Grain Free Turkey: https://www.thehonestkitchen.com/dehydrated-grain-free-turkey-dog-food - Grain Free Beef: https://www.thehonestkitchen.com/dehydrated-grain-free-beef-dog-food - Limited Ingredient Chicken: https://www.thehonestkitchen.com/dehydrated-limited-ingredient-chicken-recipe-thrive - Limited Ingredient Fish: https://www.thehonestkitchen.com/dehydrated-limited-ingredient-fish-dog-food - Whole Grain Chicken: https://www.thehonestkitchen.com/dehydrated-whole-grain-chicken-dog-food - Limited Ingredient Duck: https://www.thehonestkitchen.com/dehydrated-limited-ingredient-duck-recipe-spruce - Gourmet Grains Turkey & Fish: https://www.thehonestkitchen.com/dehydrated-gourmet-grains-turkey-white-fish - Gourmet Grains Chicken & Duck: https://www.thehonestkitchen.com/dehydrated-gourmet-grains-chicken-duck - Gourmet Grains Beef & Salmon: https://www.thehonestkitchen.com/dehydrated-gourmet-grains-beef-salmon Hope this info helps!
Why is this only for puppies? Is the ingredients different?
Hi there John, Thanks for reaching out to us! The reason some recipes are appropriate for puppies while others are not is because puppies have slightly different mineral needs than adult dogs. Of particular interest are Calcium and Phosphorus. Not only are the actual levels important, but also the ratios of one to the other. The diet should contain between 1:1 and 2:1 parts Calcium to Phosphorus.
How many dry cups are in the 20lb box?
Hi there Marie, Thanks for reaching out to us! There is about 84 cups in a 20lb bag.

Frequently Asked Questions

Each pound of Whole Food Clusters equates to about 4 dry cups of food.

Find your dog's daily feeding amount using the feeding guidelines.

Divide that amount by the total dry cups in your chosen box (see below).

1 lb bag= 4 dry cups
4 lb bag= 16 dry cups
5 lb bag= 20 dry cups
10 lb bag = 40 dry cups
20 lb bag = 80 dry cups

Example:

A 30 lb dog with an average activity level is recommended 1.5 dry cups per day.

If you purchase a 10 lb bag (40 dry cups), it will last 27 days.

All of our Clusters recipes are 100% human grade and made using our MadeHonest™ process—which cold-presses, roasts, and gently dehydrates each batch to lock in nutrition and flavor. They’re crafted in a human food facility with high safety and quality standards and never include GMO ingredients or fillers like corn, wheat, or soy.

The key differences come down to ingredients, protein and variety:

  • Essential Clusters are made with healthy whole grains, high-quality protein, and the essential vitamins and minerals dogs need to thrive. They’re ideal for adult and senior dogs and include dual-protein options.
  • Whole Food Clusters build on that foundation with added superfoods like broccoli, kale, and carrots for extra health benefits. They also feature mostly single-protein recipes and are boosted with probiotics to support digestion. This line also includes options tailored to puppies and small breed dogs.
  • Protein Plus+ Clusters are dual-protein recipes that are highest in protein content. They also include added probiotics and are crafted to support many health benefits for puppies and adult dogs.

Both our Dehydrated and Clusters diets are complete and balanced and 100% human grade, so you aren't sacrificing quality when you choose between the two. Where they differ is in how they are made and how they are served.

Whole Food Clusters is our answer to "kibble." They're made by us in our own human grade facility using a proprietary MadeHonest™ process. We cold press, roast and gently dehydrate each golden delicious cluster to maintain the nutrients, aroma, and taste of our whole food ingredients.

And, unlike our dehydrated foods, there's no need to add water before serving, just simply scoop and serve!

Being human grade means that every ingredient in The Honest Kitchen's pet food meets the same safety and quality standards required for human food.

Our suppliers must adhere to strict guidelines, including human-edible status from harvest through production, adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices, non-GMO ingredient usage, and freedom from chemicals or adulterants.
