Seems to work well for a pancreatitis dog

"I’ve been using the Honest Kitchen Stews wet food for about two weeks and my dog has not had an episode that entire time. This is a blessing! I had almost given up since everything else I tried including home cooked food, made her sick so I’m thrilled this is working. A couple tricks that I use to guarantee success…. offer small meals throughout the day and gently heat the food prior to feeding. I use the toaster oven at 175 degrees for about 8-10 minutes so that I don’t destroy nutrients in the food, that pretty much brings it to room temperature and avoids the shock of cold food on her little sensitive tummy."

Transformed my dog's coat and health

"I adopted a 15 year old chihuahua mix who was on a low fat, "intestinal diet" from a commercial manufacturer when i picked her up. She had had pneumonia and pancreatitis when dropped off at a kill shelter. I substituted 1/2 of her food and eventually 3/4s to Honest Kitchen One Pot Stews, which are low fat, and she has now been with me 2 months. The dandruff constantly falling from her skin is gone and she has more energy and vibrancy. I'm very grateful for this low fat, healthy food."

My Boxer loves his Turkey

"My Boxer loves his Turkey One Pot Stew. He bounces when he sees me adding it to his meal."

Great for my picky pup

"I have to keep trying new foods on my 10-year-old adopted dog because she rejects most dog foods. She absolutely will not eat dry kibble, so that makes it tough. I tried the Turkey Stew and she loved it, cleaning her entire bowl. It's kind of pricey but absolutely worth it if you treasure your dog. She always had bad bowel movements and now they're great."

Q&A

Once opened, how long can these be refrigerated?
Hi Elena, Thank you for reaching out to The Honest Kitchen. Once opened, our wet food can last in the fridge for up to 3 days. Please let me know if you have any other concerns. All the best,
Is this food grain free?
Hi Estella, I've narrowed down the grain free's on our wet food selection you may find them here https://www.thehonestkitchen.com/collections/dog-wet-food?refinementList%5Bmeta.nutrition.list_of_grain_view%5D%5B0%5D=Grain%20Free If you have any other concerns or if you need help with anything else I'll be happy to assist. Happy Holidays!
my little dog is 8 yrs. I feed her the turkey/quinoa stew. I just read the life stages. Am ai harming her by feeding this stew at this age? One box usually lasts 3 days. Thank you.
Hi Mica, Thank you for reaching out to us! This recipe is complete and nutritionally balanced for all life stages. No harm will come to your pup by feeding this recipe. Low-fat diets are often recommended for senior dogs but this doesn't fit the model for all senior dogs. But if you find your pup starts gaining weight on this diet, it may be time to look into other options. We always recommend consulting your vet on any dietary changes for your pup's specific needs.
I have a 130lb Boerboel and she is the pickiest eater we've ever had ( tried multiple kibbles). Riley shiver her bowl under the couch/ table, can I use the Turkey stew as a topper or is she too large of a breed to use? ( I don't see her weight on your feeding charts) Thank you!
Hi there Tracy, Thanks for reaching out to us! Yes, the turkey one pot stew can be used as a topper or as a complete and balanced meal.
What is main difference between pate and stew? Is there any difference in cooking method?
Hi there Alex, Thanks for reaching out to us! Both the One Pot Stews and Butcher Block Pates have the same cooking method. The biggest difference between both would just be the consistency. The stews have a thicker chunkier texture and the pates have more of a smooth purée consistency. Hope this info helps!

Example:

A 30 lb dog with an average activity level is recommended 1 dry cup per day.

The 3 Best Ways to Stuff a KONG

Our cowoofers love a stuffed KONG! And there are many reasons we love to serve them. They're a great way to keep your pet entertained while treating them to something healthy and delicious. Plus, they serve as a great source of mental stimulation which can help with anxiety and destructive behavior caused by boredom. There are many ways to serve Honest Kitchen in conjunction with a KONG. Here are 3 of our favorite ways: KONG + Honest Kitchen's dehydrated recipes Our dehydrated recipes in a KONG is a classic combo! Whether you're looking to slow down your dog's eating, or just looking for a couple of extra minutes of quiet time while you're on a Zoom call, this is one of our favorite ways to keep dogs busy. We like to seal the KONG with a little pet-friendly peanut butter or a treat to ensure nothing falls out. This can serve as a snack or even a meal for pups who tend to gobble down their food too fast. SHOP NOW SHOP NOW SHOP NOW KONG + Honest Kitchen's Pâté and Stews Our latest obsession is to use our new wet foods in a KONG. This has quickly become a crowd favorite due to the palatability of our Butcher Block Pâté and One Pot Stews. These wet food varieties come in Tetra Paks and are less processed and fresher than cans, which make them a great option for those looking to boost their dog's health and nutrition. Tip: If you're using the One Pot Stews, we'd recommend putting tape on the bottom of the KONG, filling with Stew and freezing for a mess-free, long-lasting treat. Just remember to remove the tape before serving! SHOP NOW SHOP NOW KONG + Honest Kitchen's Wet Toppers Another easy way to stuff a KONG is to use Honest Kitchen's wet toppers. While this won't serve as a complete and balanced meal, this option is great for a mid-day snack between meals. These toppers are a healthy and tasty addition to any dog's diet, come in a variety of flavors, and have just a few ingredients. Plus, the easy-to-use box makes pouring into a KONG a simple and easy way to treat your dog to a protein-rich snack.
